Statement solid oval earrings, inspired by the 18th Century 'fouskato' necklace from the island of Patmos. This design features a peppering of perforated coloured enamels, with a cross. This particular type of jewellery was encountered in the wider area of the Dodecanese Islands. Polychromy, was a technique used to colour enamel, and was highly developed by the Byzantine era. Polychromy gradually disappeared during the 19th century.
